Activities and Outreach

Throughout my time at Clemson University, I participated in extracurricular activities that fueled my passions outside the classroom. As a College of Arts and Humanities Ambassador, I engage in leadership workshops, mentor prospective students, and represent the university through outreach events and panels.

A key part of my journey has been my involvement with MedEx Academy, where I served as a Tier I–IV Intern and later an Ambassador. I gained valuable clinical exposure through shadowing, simulations, and presentations to medical professionals. As an Ambassador, I help guide new interns, assist with interviews, and foster a strong sense of community within the program.

I am also a certified QPR Suicide Prevention Instructor, leading trainings to help others recognize warning signs and connect individuals to mental health resources. Additionally, as an Undergraduate Learning Assistant (ULA) for Anatomy and Physiology, I support students in mastering complex course material, assist during labs, and help create a collaborative learning environment. These roles have strengthened my communication, teaching, and leadership skills.

On campus, I’ve served as Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary of the MedEx Club, helping to organize meetings, manage finances, and build community. As Treasurer of Latinos Unidos, I gained additional event planning and budgeting experience. I also play intramural soccer, which has helped me build teamwork, leadership, and communication skills. These experiences have enriched my Clemson journey, allowing me to integrate service, leadership, and healthcare advocacy into my academic path.
